Bracebridge,ON) – On 8 October 2013 Members of the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)marine unit recovered a partially submerged vessel near Baxter Island on Lake Muskoka.
As a result of information received from the public, Bracebridge O.P.P. were able to identify the owner of the vessel and have subsequently charged a local Bracebridge resident Gordon Atkinson with several offences under the Canada Shipping Act 2001;

Defacing License Number on Pleasure Craft
Bracebridge O.P.P. is reminding everyone to practice safe boating and the importance of reporting any abandoned, sunk or damaged vessels to the appropriate authority as required by Federal Marine Regulations.
