(POINT EDWARD, ON) The Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has teamed up with the Point Edward Police Services Board to provide a free community information session for older adults on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Point Edward Community Hall located at 210 Monk Street in the Village of Point Edward.
Ontario’s senior population is growing at a rapid rate and with this increase in population comes the possibility of increased victimization. OPP Constables Chrystal Jones and Todd Monaghan will discuss various types of abuse, latest scams and general safety related to older adults.
This session is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Older adults, family members, friends, caregivers, staff members of a care facility or anyone who assists older people with basic needs or services may benefit from the information that will be provided.
Pre-registration would be appreciated but is not required.
