A 26 year old Chatham man was placed on a Probation order on the 20th of May 2012 with an expiry date of the 19th of May 2014 for numerous domestic related convictions. One of the conditions of that probation order was not to associate, contact, or hold any communication directly or indirectly with the victim except through or in the presence of legal counsel.
Through investigation police learned that between June 2012 and July 2013 the accused communicated several times with the victim via telephone, or in person. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for the accused for Breach of Probation.
On the 14th of November 2013 at approximately 4:30 pm, police attended an address on Gregory drive in Chatham, and located the male party. The male party was subsequently arrested and charged with ten counts of Breach of Probation. The 26 year old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
