The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a female youth in connection with a theft yesterday.
Around 2:30 p.m. police were called to a business on Winterline Road in Dover Township. At this time, a female place three bottles of alcohol in her purse. The female exited the store while making no attempts to pay for the merchandise.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. police identified the female and she was arrested on Creek Line. Through investigation, police learned that the female was also currently bound by a probation order with several conditions.
The 17-year-old Harwich Township female youth has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and breach of probation. She was released pending a future court date.
