(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has confirmed a deceased person has been discovered in a Cherryhill Road residence that caught on fire yesterday afternoon.
On November 19, 2013 Middlesex County OPP, Thames Centre Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to an active structure fire on Cherryhill Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre.
Cherryhill Road between Dundas Street and Evelyn Drive was closed temporarily as emergency crews dealt with the fire. The road has since been reopened.
Middlesex OPP Crime Unit is assisting the Coroner’s office and the Ontario Fire Marshall to help determined the cause of death and to assist with the fire investigation.
Identity of the deceased is being withheld pending a post mortem examination.
