At approximately 1400hrs yesterday afternoon members of the community patrol division attended a business on St. Clair Street, Chatham in regards to a shoplifting complaint. Investigation revealed a young person selected merchandise from the shelf, concealed it and made no attempt to pay for the concealed items. As a result the youth has been charged with Theft under $5000.00 and Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00. The youth has been held pending a bail hearing.
