(TRENT HILLS, ON) – On Friday November 22, 2013 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting speed enforcement with radar when a motorist was stopped on County Road 45 in the Municipality of Trent Hills for travelling at a high rate of speed.
The officer was conducting speed enforcement at approximately 11:00 am on Friday while travelling southbound on County Road 45 in Percy Township of the Municipality of Trent Hills when a northbound white 2010 Buick Lucerne was observed to be travelling at 144 km/hour in the posted 80 km/hour zone.
The officer stopped the vehicle and conducted an investigation into the lone male occupant.
Werner SPLETTSTOESSER, age 84 from Roseneath, Ontario has been served a summons to attend Provincial Offences Court on Thursday January 23, 2014 in Campbellford Ontario. The accused was issued a seven day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days also.
