OPP INVESTIGATING THEFT – CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is reminding the public to protect their property and valuables against would be thieves after receiving a report of a theft from a Concession 13, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

Between Tuesday, October 1, 2013 and Friday, November 22, 2013, unknown suspects attended a construction site and proceeded to remove approximately 430 galvanised metal floor brackets that are 16X8 and 109 flashing pieces that are used in the construction of grain silo’s.

The theft is estimated at approximately $3,000 dollars.

The OPP would like to remind all community residents that if they see suspicious persons or vehicles, try to obtain as much detail as you can, write down the person(s) description, the type of vehicle they are driving and the licence plate number.

Then don’t delay, call the police and report it. 1 – 888 – 310 – 1122 will put you in contact with the nearest O.P.P. Communications Centre to report the activity. OPP (677) on your cellular will also work.
