OFFICER ASSISTS MOTORIST

(HALIBURTON, ON) -On Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 8:30 pm an officer from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol on Highway 118 in the Municipality of Dysart et al. The officer stopped to check on several vehicles that were pulled over at the side of the highway. The officer observed a distraught female driver and her infant baby girl in the vehicle, both from Haliburton Ontario. The baby was in medical distress and the quick thinking officer immediately transported both mother and baby to the Haliburton hospital for treatment. The officer was contacted the following day and advised that both mother and baby were doing well.
