THREE IMPAIRED DRIVERS CHARGED OVER THE WEEKEND

(ESSEX COUNTY, ON) – On Friday, November 29, 2013 at 7:15 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Tecumseh stopped a vehicle that nearly caused a head on collision with a fully marked OPP cruiser.

The OPP cruiser was attempting to turn onto St. Gregory’s Drive from Michael Drive in Tecumseh, when a 2011 Ford turned directly into the path of the cruiser.

The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

Rosemary ST. LOUIS, age 57, of Tecumseh has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 mgs of Blood Alcohol Content. She will appear in a Windsor court on December 12, 2013.

On Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 1:30 a.m., OPP officers in Lakeshore stopped two vehicles that were travelling together on North Talbot Road.

Both drivers exhibited signs of impairment and were arrested at the scene.

Zachary BUTLER, age 21 of Cottam was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 mgs of Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court on January 7, 2014.

Matthew JONSSON, age 23 of Windsor, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 mgs of Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court on January 8, 2014.
