(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -A vehicle stop recently conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in the driver being charged with a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) related offence.
On November 29, 2013 an OPP officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner and subsequently stopped the vehicle. The driver was not intoxicated by investigation revealed that the driver was suspended from driving.
As a result of the investigation John THIBEAULT, 26 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with driving while suspended, contrary to the HTA. The vehicle was towed from the scene and will be impounded for 7 days. The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay in January, 2014.
