(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -On December 3, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances (CDSA) related warrant at a local residence.
Officers of the Central East Drug Enforcement Unit (CEDEU) and the Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended a Meachin Drive residence in the former Verulam Township and executed the CDSA warrant.
As a result of the warrant two local persons were arrested and now face drug related charges. Seized from the residence was 85 grams of cannabis, 117 grams of cannabis resin and a conducted energy weapon.
Charged with two counts of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a weapon are Dawn WILSON, 49 years of age and Michael MUDIE, 53 years of age. The accused parties will appear in court, in Lindsay on January 9, 2014.
