(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male with possession of a controlled substance over the weekend.
On December 6th 2013, shortly before midnight, officers located a male walking on Pretty River Parkway who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Upon speaking with the male officers found that he was in possession of what is commonly referred to as magic mushrooms. He was arrested and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 42 year-old Steven WARD of Collingwood, he is facing a Criminal Code charge of possession of a controlled substance and a Liquor License Act (Provincial) charge of being intoxicated in a public place. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 14th of January 2014 to answer to the Criminal Code charge.
