(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment was contacted by a concerned homeowner at a Sea Breeze Drive, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Monday, December 9, 2013, at approximately 11:54 a.m., a homeowner contacted police after a male arrived at their residence inquiring to about their gas bill.
The resident informed the male to leave their property at which time the male refused. The male was then informed by the homeowner that they were contacting the police at which time the male immediately left the property.
The male is being described as a white male, early 20’s, 5’8 with a moustache.
“We are reminding all Norfolk County residents to be extremely cautious when you have anyone arriving at your door inquiring about any personal information about you or your residence. Police are also asking that you treat the information on all of your house hold bills with the same confidentiality as you would for your credit card bill,†comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
