Matthew PERNEROWSKI – Drunk Driving, 5X Legal Limit, No Insurance

(HALIBURTON, ON) – On December 13, 2013 Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information from the public regarding an erratic driver on Highway 35 in the Township of Minden Hills Ontario. Officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle at Hwy 35 near Water Street in Minden Ontario. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and transported to the OPP Detachment where he proceed to provide a sample of his breath which was in excess of five times the legal limit. Matthew PERNEROWSKI age 28 from Oshawa Ontario was charged with the following offences:

Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood
Operating a Motor Vehicle with an Open Container of Liquor
Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden Ontario on January 08, 2014.

According to Community Services Officer Paul POTTER, “members of our community are showing great concern regarding Drinking and Driving and it is evident that they are doing their part in making our highways safer, especially during this holiday season”.
