(Marmora, ON) – On December 14, 2013 just after 5:30pm Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a complaint of a possible break and enter. The investigation revealed two males attended a property on Cordova Road in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake where they accessed a scrap metal bin and removed various pieces of copper metal, a drive shaft, and a battery. Officers located the two males riding their bicycles on Cordova Road and they were also found to be in possession of break and enter tools.
As a result, 32 year old Jason COLLINS of Marmora, ON and 27 year old Samuel PEARCE of Marmora, ON were both arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, and Possession of Break In Instruments. They were both held in custody pending a bail hearing at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville this morning.
