Man Charged with Break and Enter

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a break and enter in the Blenheim area.

Around 4:30 a.m. this morning, an officer on general patrol observed suspicious bicycle tracks in fresh snow that lead to the cemetery. From this point, the officer followed two sets of fresh foot prints that entered into an unlocked barn on Ridge Line. The suspects separated and officers followed one set of footprints southbound for approximately three kilometers through fields and bush. The suspect was located on Teal Drive and arrested.

The 39-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with break and enter. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing. Officers continue to investigate in an attempt to identify the second suspect.
