COLLISION LEADS TO ARREST OF IMPAIRED DRIVER

(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON)- On Wednesday December 11, 2013 at 6:45 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Middlesex Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a two vehicle collision on Parkhill Drive, involving a Cadillac and a transport.

During the course of the investigation police learned that the driver of the motor vehicle had been drinking. The driver was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to a local area hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of an investigation police have charged Tammy KWARCIAK, age 45 of Grand Bend, ON with Driving While Ability Impaired as per Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Driving Motor Vehicle With Open Container of Liquor as per Section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on March 20, 2013 to speak to the charges.
