(FRONTENAC, ON)- On December 19th, 2013 at 9:50 p.m. officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a transport and two cars on Hwy 401eastbound at Division Street in Kingston, Frontenac County.
Preliminary information is that traffic was stopped due to construction when the collision occurred.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are currently at the scene.
The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
Eastbound traffic is being rerouted northbound on Division Street following the Emergency Detour Route (EDR) to the eastbound Hwy 401 on ramp at Hwy 15.
The highway will be closed for several hours while the investigation continues.
