(Ottawa) On December 20, 2013, in the early morning hours, the Ottawa Police Service responded to a call on York Street in the entertainment district.
A police investigation revealed that a 24 year-old man sustained injuries to his abdomen. This man was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Alexander BELANGER, of Ottawa, was arrested on premises and detained in police custody.
He was charged and will appear in show cause court on December 21, 2013. He is charged with the following:
Aggravated Assault
Assault with a weapon
Possession of a Weapon
