(HALIBURTON, ON) – Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating the theft of a boat motor and mischief at Harper Powersports & Marine at 3572 County Road 21 in the Township of Minden Hills Ontario. Suspects entered the boat storage facility on Osprey Road directly across the street from Harper’s and proceeded to cut approximately 14 winter boat shrink-wraps. The wrapping was cut near the outboard motors of all the boats to reveal the motor type and size. Thieves located and stole a Yamaha motor from a 16 ft Smokercraft fishing boat. The motor is described as a 2006 Yamaha, 40 hp tiller-style outboard motor, black in colour with serial number 67CL1019349.
