(Cavan Monaghan Township ON)- On Thursday December 26, 2013 at approximately 10:07 a.m. officers from the Peterborough County OPP Detachment were called to attend a County Road 21 residence in response to the report of a domestic in progress.
Upon arriving at the scene officers were advised that a 37 year old female and a 58 year old male had been involved in a verbal argument that had become physical.
As a result of the altercation the 58 year old male received cuts to his hand and the female was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon.
The 37 year old female resident of Cavan Monaghan was held for a Basil hearing scheduled for Friday 27 December 2013 in Peterborough Provincial Courts.
