(Kemptville, ON.) – Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a fatality on County Road 20, North Grenville, west of Oxford Station.
On December 25th at 7:46 p.m., Grenville County OPP were dispatched to a two vehicle collision in the eastbound lane of County Road 20 between Rock Road and Maple Hill Road. Ambulance and North Grenville Fire Department were on the scene upon police arrival.
A 1997 Toyota Tercel was travelling westbound on County Road 20 when a deer ran across the highway and was struck. The deer was vaulted into the air striking a 2005 Honda Civic traveling eastbound and hitting the male driver. The Honda came to rest in the south ditch. The female passenger was uninjured. The two passengers in the Toyota were not injured.
The driver of the Honda, Roy KHABBAZ, age 31 of Oxford Station was pronounced deceased at Kemptville District Hospital.
The roadway was closed for 6 hours.
