(Bancroft, Ontario) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) completed the fifth week of their annual Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign. The Bancroft OPP was visible conducting R.I.D.E. checks at various locations throughout the Bancroft detachment area between Sunday December 22nd and Saturday December 28th. A total of 409 motor vehicles were checked and 42 snowmobiles were checked.
Officers charged one adult male with operate a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.
