IMPAIRED DRIVERS

(KENORA, ON) On December 27, 2013 at approximately 9:30 pm, members of the Kenora OPP received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Golf Course Road in the City of Kenora. Police attended and determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Kenora detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, 21 year old Tanner LINDSTROM of Rat Portage First Nations has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving With More than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Kenora Court on January 30, 2014 to answer to the charge. He was also issued Provincial Offence Notices for Drive No Licence and Drive No Plate contrary to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.

Members of the Kenora OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 East in the City of Kenora at approximately 12:45 am on December 30, 2013. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and placed the male under arrest. He was transported to the Kenora detachment for further tests. As a result of the investigation, 42 year old Mark HIGNELL of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle, Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with More than .80 mg of Alcohol in100 ml of Blood and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He has been held in custody to appear in Kenora Court on December 30, 2013 for a bail hearing.
