(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a single motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning on Highway 402 west of Glendon Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.
On December 31, 2013 at approximately 6:05 a.m. police received a report of a single motor vehicle travelling westbound that ran off the roadway into the centre median. Other motorists stopped to assist by performing CPR on the driver. Middlesex County OPP, Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Mount Brydges Fire attended the scene. The lone male occupant was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
The identity of the driver is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The investigation is ongoing. The vehicle has since been removed from the scene and all lanes of Highway 402 are open.
