(Lansdowne,ON.) – On the 4th of January 2014 Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds and 1000 Islands were on patrol on Hwy 401 near the town of Gananoque.
At around 9:20 a.m. an O.P.P officer observed a silver Volks Wagon car travelling westbound on Hwy 401.
The officer conducted an investigation into the speed the car was travelling.
The investigation showed that the car was being operated at a speed in excess of 150 km/hr.
The officer stopped the car.
The driver was issued an offence notice for Race A Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He is to appear at Brockville Provincial Court on the 5th of February 2014.
He received a 7 day drivers licence suspension, and his car impounded.
