(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -On January 4, 2014 at approximately 1:07 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Festive R.I.D.E. team conducted a R.I.D.E. Program on Highway 7 and Woolwich-Guelph Townline, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A 2001 GMC stopped prior to entering the check point and police went over to the vehicle to speak with the occupants. A male driver showed signs of alcohol consumption.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Kevin TAIT age 41 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired and Over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 7, 2014 to answer to the charge.
