(ADELAIDE-METCALFE, ON)- On Tuesday January 7, 2014 at approximately 4:00 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Middlesex Fire Department responded to a two vehicle collision located on Kerwood Road at Egremont Drive.
Police closed the section of Kerwood Road between Highway 402 and Egremont Drive and the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) team was engaged to assist with the investigation.
Police have learned that the collision involved an eastbound pickup truck travelling on Egremont Drive and a transport truck travelling southbound on Kerwood Road.
The lone male occupant of the pickup truck was transported to hospital by ambulance with critical injuries. The lone male occupant of the transport truck was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The roadway has since been reopened and the investigation is continuing.
