(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On January 13, 2014 at approximately 2:41 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Scotland Street, near Second Line, Fergus and found a 2012 Dodge stuck in a snow bank. A male was behind the wheel and showed signs of alcohol consumption. He was arrested brought to the Centre Wellington Detachment.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Alec CLYDE age 68 of Elora has been charged with Care and Control While Impaired, and Care and Control Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 4, 2014 to answer to the charge.
