(ALLISTON, ON) – The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), as a result of an ongoing police investigation, along with members of the Central Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), Nottawasaga OPP Street Crime Unit, the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU), Central Region Canine Unit and the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant and a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant at a residence located in the Town of Alliston earlier this morning.
A 28-year old male was arrested without incident and remains in custody at this time charged with a number of drug, weapons and sex related charges. He is scheduled to appear for a Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie tomorrow.
The OPP are not in a position to release the identity of the male as this could potentially identify other persons associated to this ongoing investigation.
