On Wednesday, January 15th members of the Barrie Police Street Crime Unit and Tactical Support Unit conducted a search warrant on a south end residence. The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing drug investigation and resulted in several arrests. A 31 year old Barrie male was held pending a bail hearing and is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance. A Second 31 year old Mississauga male was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and released from custody with a future court date. Two females were also arrested as a result of the investigation and later released unconditionally. A quantity of crack cocaine, oxycodone and currency was seized.
