TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN DRIVER CHARGED

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On January 11, 2014, just after 8:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped an Oldsmobile vehicle on Highway 401 westbound near Queens Line.

As a result of the subsequent OPP traffic investigation, the driver, 63 year old Towfique MOHAMMED, from Brampton, ON, was charged with the following:

Driving While Under Suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Fail To Surrender Insurance Card, under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

The male is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on February 5, 2014, to answer to the charges.
