(ARNPRIOR, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the Renfrew OPP Detachment have arrested and charged an Arnprior man following a child pornography investigation.
On January 14, 2014 police executed search warrants at an Arnprior residence and a storage facility after receiving information that an individual was in possession of Child Pornography. As a result of this investigation, two computers and related computer equipment were seized containing images of child sexual abuse.
On January 14, 2014, police arrested Alan Paul SMITH, 56 years-old of Arnprior and charged him with one count of Possession of Child Pornography. The accused will make a first appearance in the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on January 21, 2014.
The investigation is continuing.
