James MALTBY – Drunk Driving

(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male driver overnight with drinking and driving offences.

Shortly before 3:00am on the 16th of January 2014 an officer on patrols investigated a vehicle parked on the side of the road on Blue Mountain Road near Scenic Caves Road. Upon speaking to the driver it was found that the male was under the influence of alcohol and was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading. As such he was transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.

Charged is 54 year-old James MALTBY of Toronto, he is facing a criminal code charge of ‘care or control over 80 mgs’ and is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 13th of February 2014. He was also charged with a Liquor License Act charge of ‘having care or control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor’.
