(ADELAIDE-METCALFE TWP, ON) – On January 17, 2013 at approximately 7:08 a.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Kerwood and Adelaide-Metcalfe Fire responded to a transport truck on fire on the westbound lanes of Highway 402 at Centre Road in Adelaide-Metcalfe Township. The transport truck was carrying a load of cars. Fire crews have since extinguished the fire and tow trucks are currently working on towing the transport truck off the highway. There are minor lane restrictions and motorists are asked to slow down, proceed with caution and move over for emergency crews throughout that area.
There are no injuries as a result of the fire.
