OPP ARREST TWO MALES FOR DRUGS

(TRENT HILLS, ON) A Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol on Saturday January 18, 2014 and stopped two separate vehicles in the Municipality of Trent Hills and arrested two males for possession of marijuana.

At approximately 12:50 am on Viewmount Ave a grey Toyota was checked for suspicious activity in the area. The officer conducted an investigation into the male and female occupants of the Toyota and as a result of the investigation found the male driver in possession of a small quantity of marihuana.

Then at about 3:23 am the same officer was travelling southbound on County Road 8 and stopped a vehicle for possible impaired driving. The vehicle was stopped and the officer conducted another investigation into the four occupants (3 males, 1 female). A male passenger surrendered a small quantity of marihuana to the officer. The driver was found to be sober and allowed to continue on after the officer completed his investigation.

Gordon LACEY, 25 from Etobicoke, Ontario and Dillon DeGRACE, 20 from Toronto, Ontario have both been charged separately with possession of a controlled substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both accused were released on an appearance notice to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at 9:30 am.
