Early Sunday morning members of the Barrie Police Service received information regarding a domestic incident at a Yonge St. residence. Upon investigation the officers discovered that a women had been assaulted by her 49 year old partner. It’s alleged that the male during a verbal dispute pulled the women’s hair and refused to let her leave the residence. The male was arrested and during the investigation a previous assault came to light. The now accused stands charged with two counts of assault and one count of forcible confinement. He will appear in bail court Monday morning. The victim did not receive medical treatment.
