(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male over the weekend responsible to a break and enter to an ice hut in Collingwood harbour on Heritage Drive.
On the 17th of January 2014 police were made aware of a break and enter to an ice hut which had taken place sometime from the 13th to the 15th of January 2014. Investigation found that culprit(s) had forcibly gained entry into the locked hut and made off with several items including a Dewalt radio with battery, a fish finder and a backpack. Police investigation lead to the recovery of some of the stolen property and the arrest of a male from Collingwood.
Charged is 19 year-old Trevor WILLIAMS of Collingwood. He is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime (4 counts) and failing to comply with probation order (2 counts). He was held in custody for bail court in Barrie.
