On January 17, 2014, the Guelph Police were involved in a landlord tenant investigation.
During the course of the investigation the accused was evicted and left behind some of his property. One of the items left behind was a large black duffle bag believed to contain marihuana. The Guelph Police Drug Unit became involved in this investigation and a CDSA search warrant was granted for the residence. The warrant was executed and police located 3,395 grams of marihuana. If sold by the gram, the drugs would hold a street value of $30,395. The accused was charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking. A 42 year old Owen Sound man was held for a bail hearing.
