(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Quinte West OPP would like to remind the public about the ongoing Microsoft Windows Scam. Recently people from the community report having received calls from persons claiming to be a Microsoft representative and telling unsuspecting persons they have computer issues.
The OPP would like to remind the public that Microsoft does not have any call centers that contact people regarding possible computer problems. People should never give out personal information to any unknown sources, and the best thing to do is hang up.
