(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Friday January 24, 2014 at approximately 7:30pm Quinte West OPP responded to an assault in progress.
When officers arrived on scene a male and female party informed police that a male assaulted them and left the scene.
Officers located the accused male and he was subsequently arrested. The male and female victims were transported to hospital by ambulance and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A 50 year old male from Quinte West has been charged with Assault, Assault with a weapon x2, and Breach of Probation.
The male is being held for a Bail Hearing on January 27, 2014 at The Ontario Court of Justice 15 Bridge St West, Belleville.
