Barrie Police were on routine patrol in the area of Bayview Dr when they observed a vehicle drive through a red light.
Police stopped the vehicle and found the driver in an intoxicated condition. He was arrested for impaired driving and during a search, a quantity of cocaine was located in his possession.
The male was transported to the Barrie Police Service where he supplied breath samples that were well over the legal limit.
A 23 year old male is facing charges of Impaired driving and Possession of a narcotic and given a February Court date.
