OFFICERS CHARGE FORMER CSC EMPLOYEE WITH FRAUD

(COLLINS BAY, ON) – On January 29, 2014, members of the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad arrested and charged a 36-year-old former Correctional Service Canada employee with fraud related charges.

In May 2013, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) contacted the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad to report that a former employee may have submitted fraudulent documents to CSC while she was an employee.

As a result of the investigation, Charmaine Neuman, 36 of Kingston, ON is charged with:

Fraud Under $5000

She was released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer-In-Charge Undertaking to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Kingston on February 20, 2014.

The Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad is led by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and is comprised of officers from the OPP, Kingston Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
