(Cavan Monaghan Township, ON) – On Wednesday February 5, at approximately 6:45 a.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 7 south of Fowlers Corners.
Police, Fire and Ambulance, attended the scene. Upon arriving at the collision scene emergency personal discovered tht one of the drivers had been fatally injured as a result of the collision.
The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene by Para medics.
Members of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigation unit were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
At this time the Highway is closed south of County Road 1.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
