The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
In September 2013, the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to attend court as required. Another condition stated that he was to report to the Chatham-Kent Police Service every Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to sign in. On January 20, 2014, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, the man attended police headquarters to sign in as per his release conditions and he was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
The 34-year-old man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
