(Otonabee South Monaghan Township, ON) – On Wednesday February 5, at approximately 12:35 a.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 7 near Heritage Line.
A Toyota Pick Up truck had been observed driving erratically on Highway 7, the vehicle suddenly lost control and entered a ditch and struck a tree. Witnesses contacted the police to report the collision. Upon arriving officers conducted an investigation into the incident.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, 59 year old Ellen MASHINTER of Havelock was charged with Impaired Operation , and Having over 80mgs. of Alcohol in her blood.
MASHINTER is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts on 20 March 2014 to answer to the charges.
