(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged two males with possession of marihuana as a result of a vehicle stop.
On the 7th of February 2014 shortly after 3:00pm an officer on patrols stopped a vehicle for speeding on Grey Road 19 near Sixth Street. Interactions with the driver and occupants of the vehicle found that they were in possession of marihuana and had open liquor in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led police to seize approximately 25 grams of marihuana and some alcohol.
Charged are 32 year-old Roger BOYCE of Brampton and 32 year-old Justin WATTERS of Georgetown; they are both facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance (cannabis marihuana) under 30 grams and a liquor license act charge of having liquor in open container in other than licensed premises residence or private place. (one count each)
They are both to attend Owen Sound court on the 11th of March 2014.
The driver of the car and a further passenger of the vehicle were charged under the highway traffic act and liquor license act.
