(NORTH PERTH, ON) – A report made to members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) just after 11:30 p.m. on June 19, 2018 resulted in locating another impaired driver.
The male driver was observed operating a motor vehicle in the Municipality of North Perth. He was stopped by police on Provincial Highway 23, where it was determined that he had consumed alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result, twenty-one-year old David WOOD of Harriston has been charged with:
Driving while impaired,
Driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol, and
Fail to comply with probation order
He was held for a bail hearing and later released on a Recognizance.
The vehicle was towed and impounded, and a driver’s licence suspension has been imposed.
