(Ottawa) On February 15, 2014, after 3:00 p.m., a man residing in the 300 block of Cooper Street attended a neighboring residence. He requested money from the occupant who refused to provide any.
The same man later returned in front of the residence brandishing a knife and uttering death threats to the occupant.
Witnesses called police who attended to investigate.
James Lavergne, a 24 year-old man from Ottawa, was arrested. He was charged with:
Uttering Threats
Possession of a Weapon
Assault with a Weapon
Fail to Comply With Undertaking to Officer
He appeared in show cause court on February 16, 2014 and was remanded into custody. His next court date is set for February 18th, room #6, at 9:30 a.m..
The current investigation revealed that both parties do not know each other.
There are no reported injuries.
